Sunday I love tante Z She sounded so cute on the phone So happy I get to see her today Worried about stressing out Uncle M Hassan is dropping me off at a public hospital to buy the medical insurance form on the way He said I can use my old social insurance printout too Yay two things off the list There are protests everywhere I'm proud of the kids, every college held a protest -- even my snooty one We're the children of soldiers who fought Israel off Sinai Now they're trying to kill and Creepy to see the name change on Google maps So much cruelty and horror for land (I believe Sinai belongs to the bedou anyway but that's another conversation) I'm out of the bunker now Can't close my eyes again But this is heavy and tiring and hard Some of my friends went to give supplies at the border They were forced to wait in tents, they heard the bombs raining down Knowing their families are on the other side without even water My friends families were killed I've seen so many dead children But the media and political games hurt more They humiliate them in death too I can't forgive the people who were silent The kids are right We tried so hard to appeal to them, we thought media were biased out of ignorance not malice And this is the result They need to try not us |
