Still debating videos :S And band names I doubt I could react maturely to trolls--I don't know how K kills/ignores hecklers so gracefully! So far, this is what I get consistently: -don't give up guitar, even if I just play rhythm (acoustics are my friends) -pick a genre, it won't box me in but give me direction -my strongest point is writing -let it grow with the layering, I shouldn't worry so much about fancy chord progressions -sit-ups, for stamina (I don't know if it's psychological but I feel like I can hold notes longer and my range is a little better) I'm going to do solo work apart from the band. Everybody is in lots of different groups! One of the drummers is in four bands--I didn't even know I could do that, so I feel a lot less pressured about choosing now. Somebody recommended this indie/prog band who actually turned out to be friends with my brother-- amazing instrumentalists but vocally/lyrically meh. I don't know--I don't think it's enough to talk to them just because some stranger (who saw ONE gig) thinks my vocals work with their sound. I just don't want to step on anybody's toes. The multitasking is making it easier. I feel like a music ho :) Hope I settle down eventually |
